I wonder if I’m the only one who found Gran Torino condescending. Clint Eastwood re-iterates a long lineage of “helpful” perspectives on what a white man should do as his last stand against the hordes of Asian “kamikazes” to protect the good helpless asians.  Manifest destiny, protecting the foreigners from their own barbarianism.  His “Yum yum”s gave me pedophile flirting yellow fever chills down my spine.

I like Clint Eastwood, his films, and classic cars but this movie just seemed racist.
